Most wedge plows can be adjusted for height above rail. There are also "shoes" under the plow that ride on the rails when plowing. The only one that I'm not sure about being able to be adjusted is the tender mounted ex-Rock Island plow at Goodland, KS. The biggest problem with wedge plow is when they don't make it through the drift. When backing for the next attack the plow drags snow back underneath sometimes to the point of derailing the plow. JP
