Hi Jason,

What a rare find and such a worthy restoration project.

I knew that the earlier narrow gauge cars were much more lightly constructed than those in service today. But to actually see the comparison is priceless. You really get a sense for the "minimalist" nature of the early narrow gauge designs.

George Hilton's insight that early narrow gauge designs were cheaper because they utilized more primative standards would seem right on the money.
