Yes Both planes are still around the Bluebird (first flight 1955) is flying out of a local arport with its 5th owner. The twin (first Flight 1968) is owned by a South West Pilot in Airizona. My dad also built 2 VW powered allwood planes one of which during flight test he had bail out of 8 days shy of his 68 bithday for his very first parachute jump ever. There is an acticle that he wrote about the jump in a EAA Sport Aviation Mag in the early 80's.

Side note, I need to take my younger son to Chama for a train ride!!
