Ed, I joined the EAA during the first EAA Convention in Rockford. I think the only had about 25 show planes that attended. In 1972 I flew the parachute jumper to open the air show using my Clipped-Wing J3 Cub. This was the EAA Convention in Oshkosh. The jumper had so much gear he had to sit sideways in the front seat with his legs outside the cockpit. I could not get the seat belt around but he didn't mind. I couldn't see anything to the front. One afternoon after we got to altitude the wind got pretty strong and he wouldn't jump and I had to bring him back, that was an adventure. Those were great times! ````````````````````````
Keep Shooting,
