You hit the nail on the head. The biggest asset to doing a restoration is to have it inside. After I got Eureka, that is the first major thing I did was to build an engine house. Depending on the size of the building, they can be had for fairly reasonable prices. If I had it to do over again, I would probably put in a steel prefab building. My current shop is wood and stucco. It's homey, and matches my home, but I would prefer to have steel surrounding me. The big disadvantage is steel is hotter than hell here in the summer.
