As always; thanks for your thoughts!

I would add that another way to get involved with restoring a narrow gauge locomotive is pick a good museum that is doing one and help out with the work or just be there as a member.

i just visited the Nevada State railroad Museum which has just finished the Glenbrook of 1875 complete with a new boiler! now that is a project!
