I remember Kellys Cafe. I also remember the date we ate there. It was June 5, 1968, before we saw 498 head east to Durango, and later 483 lead a train with 493 pushing eastbound. I vividly remember the roomy cafe with the old wooden booths and tables. Out the window you could see the engine house and smoke from the engines resting. I believe we ran into some crewmembers in the cafe. I was 17, so I guess that makes me an old fart now too!!
