I know that we have had Loop engine 40 at at least 30 MPH uphill ..... she loves to run and the faster she goes, the better she liked it.
I have mentioned before that theoretically, a steam engine has no top end .... again, it is a matter of balance, reciprocating weight, etc.
I got chewed out by Rosa for running too fast on the Loop.
