To add a little more to the story, the n.g. cars were originally restored at Burnham Shops by Carmen Raleigh Littleton and Lee Trask. Painting was done by Painter Al Grose with the lettering being done by Painter John Ensdorff.
While the narrow gauge equipment made it's appearance in 1949, there was
actually another car sent by the Rio Grande to the Fair in 1948. Modernized coach 1004 which apparently was the Safety Instruction Car for awhile, was used as the movie car at the Rio Grande Exhibit/Pavilion. It was of course, standard gauge.
