Greg, a great many pilots are pretty accommodating when it comes
to working with riders so that they may fly formation with another
war bird. POF in Chino was especially good to me on both of my visits
there in 2007.
As to noise, the loudest ride that I ever had that comes to mind was
in the late Danny Summers AD-5 with its R-3350. Incredible machine.
I got a ride in an F-4C while stationed at Edwards AFB in '67 or '68,
but the 55 minutes in the Spad topped that.
