I would say anything usable was used, but when the 490 was finally scrapped most of the operable engines had been set aside. The cab made it to Durango for some reason or other so it's feasible most parts were inventoried and moved to Durango for the operations there. Mainly 483, 484, 487, 493, 497, and 498 remained active at that time of 490's final demise. When I was in Silverton last summer I saw parts stamped for 485 on the 482 which I thought was very cool.
