David,
In order to turn the sprayers on and off from the cab either you would have to run a superheated line from the tap back to the cab and then back to the front or use saturated steam. The operation is to turn the sprayers on at a brief stop before getting into caterpillar country (at state line) and then leave them on to Cumbres.
