Not only have we been one of the few (if not ONLY) "foreign steam locomotive to operate on UP property, the local UP guys have INVITED us to bring a steam locomotive to their Car Shop's Open House in October.
And.... before you say "you were in the yard only..." The local train master offered to let us go around the wye (one side of which is the main line) so we didn't have to back 300 one way. I told him that was awful nice of him , but I didn't want to wear out our welcome. He said it was no big deal, we'll tone up the DS on radio, get a signal and away we go. In retrospect, I should have done it, I could have had even bigger bragging rights.....
