It's easy to get to, we did it in 2010. We went with Dave the ROW explorer. You wont need four wheel drive. As mentioned you can get pretty close but then you will have to walk.

The pocket as you approach.

Up close. There is still coal lying around. I collected quite a bit. Most of the coal in my Accucraft 41 is from there.

This is where the main line and the Telluride branch split. This would have been right in front of the section house and depot. There are still some ties in the ground.
