Gents: Here is a photo of the "Lost Shay of Coos Bay" s/n 167 at the Stimson Mill Co. Round House, Sudro-Woolley, Mason County, WA in the 1890s. The lost Shay is in the center with another 2-T Shay (s/n 315 10-14-1890) at left and a Porter saddle tank 0-4-2T on right. Photo is by the famed Darius Kensey. Perhaps one of you Northwest logging historians can tell us more about this photo.

Something doesn't add up here. I remember the name "Stimson", but cannot recall where they operated. Simpson was based out of Shelton, in Mason County, but Sedro-Wooley is a good 100 miles north of there in Skagit County.
Darius Kinsey had his home and studio in Sedro-Wooley.
So confused !
