I agree with Brian. The railroad actually went through several "brand" names: Carson and Colorado, Nevada & California, then Southern Pacific Lines, and finally just Southern Pacific. Many had a dislike for the SP due to its business practices. As for me: I like both the Carson & Colorado look of the locomotives as well as the railroad in the 20's-30's with the classic "SP Lines" paint. Makes me seriously think about changing my modelling focus to something based on Montgomery Pass...
