Bye the way Greg,
Billi Bowen spelled his first name with an "i", it was not a typo or mistake.
He was a charter member of the National Model Railroad Association and really was one helluva nice guy. I got to meet him in my teens when he lived in the North Area of Denver. He was elderly then, or perhaps it was my perspective...
Fred Becker is the one who had the film transferred from the small 16mm reels to the large reel that you probably bought. Fred told me that he once asked Billi about his movies, and Billi said "Here Fred, you can have 'em".
Billi passed away many years ago, but it's good to know that his movies still live on.
I'm not sure where the articulateds were filmed, it's been a long time since I've seen the original films, almost 45 years. I do know that Billi was a Santa Fe modeler and that many of the films that he shot were on the way to and from NMRA conventions held around the country.
