Re: E&P/EN locos and cars .

I saw the Silverwood operaton during its Winter hiatus on a rainy day at the end of October several years ago. Without getting out my photos I will try to recall what was up there.
Silverwood is (was) an amusement park and air craft museum located adjacent to the private airfield at Athol, Idaho. The railroad ride went around the airfield and the amusement rides. I recall hearing that the airfield dated from WWII.
The locomotives on hand were E-N #7 and Kaluhui #11, both 2-6-2s along with a Crown Metal Products 4-4-0. The passenger cars came with the Crown 4-4-0 from I believe some place down in Texas. There was a good basic shop up at Silverwood. The #7 was the prefered engine.
When I was up there, Silverwood still had the former SPng combo #8. They had taken a seat frame from it and copied it for a special passenger car they built up there. They had also removed some of the side sheathing to see how this car was framed. This new car was on freight car trucks. Combo #8 is now at NSRM.
At one end of the air field was a sidetrack with the ex SP box cars. I recall three cars, one of these was the #1C -- part of the wreck train outfit. And there was an ex-EBT hopper car.
The Kauluhui #11 had been a superheated locomotive, but someone along the way had coverted to a "soak" engine. I recently heard that the engine was offered by an equipment broker.
