Tim,
Not having been that close to the CRRM in the ensuing years, I know that some cab pieces were replaced, but my recollection of the cab still has that cobbled up mess that Rhinelander put on it (I may be wrong and clearly admit to lapses of CRS). What I was referring to for a new cab is a new Oak one, using the original as a pattern with a panel or three, some nice filigree work and other appropriately painted accoutrements. This is to go along with the new boiler, frame, drivers, rods, brasses, shoes, wedges, Equalizers, springs, pins, bushings, pop valves, whistle, petticoat, exhaust nozzle, Smokebox netting, grates, grate shakers, valves piping and accessories.
