CP's DM&E had a bad day about a mile from my house today. A bridge collapsed and took out about 15 cars. The locos were safeley over the bridge.
If you look at the bottom right you can see a set of wheels and there were many more strung about and a lot of twisted rail. Shows the reason for the different cars in a wreck train. The strap iron arch bar traucks on most ng cars could be repaired on site even if whells were damaged or rolled over a cliff. Many ties and rail needed also
