12 cars, 5 m.p.h. Feb. 26, 1954
John, John, Mark, Rich, Rich et al -
I think my eyes are getting weak in my old age. I have counted three times now, and only find ten tank cars in the Phot-O-Graph. Even counting the caboose doesn't bring the total to twelve cars.
(??)
So - Dick Kindig is trying to pass off a ten-car train as a twelve car train, and The Friends will try to pass off Phraud-O-Graphs ® of an eight-car train as being of a ten-car train. It appears that inflation since 1954 has been even worse than I thought
... Unless, of course, the plan is to reproduce a combined Flanger Move / Cumbres Turn such as those in Tom Gildersleeve's Phot-O-Graphs on [
ngdiscussion.net].
I will therefor reiterate my pledge made on another thread to contribute $1,000 toward the bearing fund, once the concern expressed previously has been adressed by the appropriate parties ...
