What kind of money are we talking about to "use" the services of the railroad for movie production .... anyone have a ballpark idea ?
My mind immediately goes to Dan Markoff and the NSRM. How far is the Glenbrook away from being a potential moneymaker for the museum ? Do they have operational period rolling stock to make up the trains a movie company might request ? It seems to this observer that old railroad stuff IS out there, just not coordinated to work for this application.
I wonder if the movie traffic could warrant making an effort to meet their needs AND use the collaboration to preserve/restore some of this really old stuff to original appearance ? Personally, I am REAL tired of only seeing post-40's looking locomotives. Walking around those ancient pieces at the CRRM brings me to tears, they are so beautiful.
