What we all tend to forget, is, that we enthusiasts are 00.000005% of the population, and, a significant part of the people watching the movie don't know the difference between steam, diesel, and electric locomotives.
Some of them can't spell t r a i n.
In fact, until two weeks ago, I didn't even consider that locomotives had their numbers changed for movies and other events.
I'm always tee'd off at the end of the movie, when it doesn't mention the location of the filming railroad.
But I bet there's guys here that recognize virtually every engine that's been on the screen.
And it ain't just train stuff.
I'm a pretty avid scuba diver (my other vice), and, news stories and film representations of divers and diving are often quite hilarious.
