Michael,
These are answers to questions that I was going to ask on this thread, thanks for answering them for me before I asked them. This is a good chunk of change.
And I know that on my stays in the area, being more than just an occasional passenger rider, I tend to stay in the area for more than just the day that I ride the train, I spend at least 3 days and up to 5 days just to chase the passanger trains through the mountains. I usually eat in Chama or Antonito to get two great meals a day, also if you end up riding with me I usually buy a free meal for anyone who dares to travers the line with me. I usually run out of memory on my cards that I bring along so I end up buying more memory in Chama. I usually gas up more than once either in Antonito or Chama(one year I had to fix a flat in Antonito). I also buy souviners whether its books or clothing, or posters (Sure miss the Zorns). I feel I have supported the area well when I come into town. I have been riding and chasing the C&TS for the past 20 some odd years. I Love the Narrow Gauge that the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic represents.
