Re: Cedar Hill Bridge

Providing an answer for this particular bridge question is proving to be somewhat of a challenge.

Part of the problem is, I find no reference regarding a bridge replacement during the 1920s, on the Farmington branch, for a bridge of that particular length.

For bridge 469A there was a bridge replacement during 1932. The 128’ Howe Truss span and 9 panels of frame trestle were replaced with a 165’ through truss span, one pile pier and 98’ of trestle. There is no reference regarding builder and no reference to any prior location.

For now, that is the best I can do.
