There are a lot of different classifications of crows. In India, they have the House Crow. Those crows are bolder than our American Crow. Apparently the higher population density of both crows and people in India lead crows to become more assertive. I do not know why they are called House Crows, but I have heard that they are so bold that they will come into a house and steal food off of the table. Crows are controversial, and the House Crow is at the top of the list.

Here is a piece by Mark Twain describing his relationship with the Indian (House) Crow. It is pretty funny how it brilliantly captures the crow personality. The painting really gets the point across too:
