Re: # 315 & # 463 double heading soon

I fully understand that the Chama Steam is advertising the excursion with # 315 & # 463 if available. I do find it disingenuous of Jay who over the course of the last several years has continously trashed the efforts of the Friends (on his website) to complete the restoration. IMHO the rebuild of #463 would likely not have happened without Friends involvement/ fund raising.

Yes, there were problems along the way in the rebuild but from all reports the Antonito shop is moving the project toward completion this spring. In fact if we look back at the AHR completion estimate of last fall, and assuming no major issues surface, the crew should be approaching the end date by sometime next month.

Now that John Bush is on board I will be so bold as to predict that we will see # 463 steaming on the point of one of the opening day trains on May 25th. I would make you a $ 10,000 bet on it but we know how that turned out for the guy who tried that line last year
