I too did the whole FarRail / Lerro trip last year and it was a blast, although I do seriously take your point in the numbers. I thought 60 initially was right at the upper limit and was a little disapointed to see it has now blown out to 80. I didnt even shoot Phantom Curve last year for this reason and the trestle at Osier was pretty farcical. Once you have run it once, thats it. Any additional times just dont work because of smoke in the air and then you get those that didnt get the long awaited "mastershot" and wont relinquish their place in the line, or cloud comes over etc. As you indicated, there has to be strictly enforced photoline etiquette and I hope Jay can achieve this. I am a bit sceptical about the Osier overnight, but it is just one night and if it gets magical dawn light at Los Pinos, then it shouldnt be too bad
That said, I have booked and paid for this as well as $4000+ for my flights from Oz. This will be my fourth trip to the C&TS in 4 years (and I dont have fly miles
) and if it all comes off, it will certainly be a trip to remember.
Fingers crossed...
Cheers from Down Under
