Boiler work on the 1744 progress is slow, at times, the attached shows the firebox in April with the new mudring attached to a new section of the outside throat sheet and a new section of the backhead. Since this pix was taken the backhead has been attached, the side sheets have been replaced and riveted to the throat and backhead. The interior of the firebox has been removed and the new door, rear tube and crown sheest are formed.
When we resume work, backhead braces will be repaired followed by the installation of the firebox. Lots to do but we have also come a long way!
