The reason she has not been finished or further along is due to their slow freight traffic from 2007-2010. It really picked up in 2011 and #1744s boiler should definately be done this year and back in Alamosa. It is still a good 2-3 years away from being finished, they plan to overhaul the running gear as well. Hope this helps! I got this information from a friend in Alamosa a little while back.
