It is my understanding that the main steel span of the D&S High Bridge and the Cimarron creek - Black Canyon bridge at one time were two nearly identical Pin-Connected deck truss bridges that were both once standard gauge bridges on the D&RGW but that over time the one on the D&S was strengthened to allow heavier locomotives to go over it.
What changes were made and how do these two bridges now differ, (other than the obvious one that the High bridge is still in current us)?.
Also I believe their lengths are about 120ft long but I do not have the width and height of the steel structure.
Thanks
Stan
