#40 (an oil burner) was resurrected to run the Santa trains after #346 (a coal burner) caused a merry conflagration next door (major drought here). It still needs new superheater elements, firebox bricks, and other detail items. I wouldn't say it is down for the count; it just needs money that so far no one has been willing to commit.
I hear Jack Campbell used the transporter to move #191. Beam it over here, Scotty!
In reality, I don't know how it was moved; I was not on-site when it happened. A lot of stuff at the museum has been used by swinging track panels around with a large track hoe. Could have been the technique used in this case. All part of an ongoing rearrangment of the museum grounds.
