Hello again -
I've already posted a couple of pics from the first run-by at Los Piños Tank on the
"magnetic heralds" thread (see [
ngdiscussion.net]), so I'll post just one from the
second run-by, which is probably pretty similar to what three or four others got

... and then move ahead to milepost 326 where I took the pretty much the same "official" portrait of our engine running to Cumbres for water as did everyone else

By the time our engine returned and fetched the train I had moved up and behind the vast majority to get a different perspective (note the remains of snow fences behind the trees at top right)

We then backed down into the valley for another run-by at Los Piños Trestle; by this late (4:12 p.m.) the sun had moved well to the west. The good locations along the river were already taken, but I did manage to include a meandering tributary in my shot

A few of us had left our cars at Apache Crossing earlier in the day, so we got an uncrowded "exclusive" preview of Monday's slighter later and more spectacular run-by
