SVR66 to clear things up a bit the locomotive in this post technically isn't N&S #55. Only parts of this loco is from #55, mainly the cylinder saddles and running gear everything else is new. As of the 70s when keystone built it. Shop services did some work to it long before it was owned by Disney or Cedar Fair.
Cedar fair traded an engine for it, but found it would not negotiate the sharp curves at Cedar Point so it sat until we asked if we could have it. It was sent to us to use, not to get her operating for cedar point. Later shortly after we did make her operational it was taken away with little explanation as to why. The Jenny K was left here in the same manner. We did not know why it was here.
Later we found out what was going on, like Bruce said. How ever it was not a good plan. Yes we are a year round park unlike Cedar Point and we work in our shop year round, however we have 19 pieces of our own equipment that require our attention year round. Spending time working on something that is not ours means our equipment would suffer, for lack of a betted word. This is all MY opinion.
I don't know the fate of Jenny K but personally I don't think it looks bright.
