You are all correct. The D&S was contracted to restore combine 211 for Lake City. 211 is believed to originally have been coach 298.
RGS 256 was sold by the Galloping Goose Historical society sold it and it was moved to Como a few years ago. Well just this month 256 was sold to the D&S. The car will be rebuilt and join fellow RGS coach 257.
I know all this because I am a GGHS board member (GGHS had first right of refusal) and I unsuccessfully tried to acquire 256 for the Colorado railroad museum.
256 will be well cared for and will carry passengers once again through Colorado's mountains, and that's what matters.
