My ear to the ground has indicated that Greg Maxwell has been investigating the railroad for years. Also at one time, Cornelius Hauck was said to be researching a book on the E&P.

I too have looked at original research resources about the E&P/E-N. It can be a wonderful story -- much, much more than just a photo essay.

For now the best source of information about the railroad is the chapter in David Myrick's Railroads of Nevada and Eastern California.
