Hank,

I've learned that one of the main reasons the switch in 1933 happened was due to the K-36's haveing trouble turning on the Marshall Pass TT. If they were not full of water they would not be balanced and couldn't be turned. The 37's didn't have this balance issue and they could also pull more tonnage so the switch commenced.
