Well, it's just a suggestion.
After all, as a certified Curmudgeon, it
is my duty to stir the pot every once in a while!
Since there are three geese that each have to "fly" home one way or another, IMHO it wouldn't be that big a deal to have at least one or two of them detour through Antonito. Hopefully enough tickets could be sold to help defray enough of the transportation costs - which have to be paid anyway - to make the side trip worthwhile.
Thanks to a lot of support from Alan Loomis and my fellow instigators, both the May 25, 2010 excursion ('Springtime in the Rockies', with green-jacketed #489) and the August 30, 2010 re-enactment of the first C&TS train into Chama (with #487 standing in for red & gold #483) were put together in much less time than is available to arrange for a goose or two to detour home from Golden via the C&TS, and SFAIK none of the geese would need to be even partially repainted for the event!

I wonder what he was going to say? Probably just a warning to not paint Geese #2 and #7 green for the day
