Hi, Everett -
While a student at Colorado College in the early sixties (Ed Stabler's dad was a
biology professor there) my friends and I hiked much of the old Midland grade be-
tween Manitou Springs and Green Mountain Falls. IIRC, the big steel bridge in
Manitou Springs was still standing, and all of the tunnels were intact. Much was
lost when U.S. 24 was widened several years ago.
