Just to give you an idea what it's like in the Durango area; Last week a guy was using his chop saw in his back yard. A carbide tooth broke off and landed in some saw dust and started to smolder. He tryed to stomp it out but it spread into some pine needles. He ran to get a bucket of water. When he returned the fire was starting up the hill. A 911 call followed. 90 acres but fortunatly no homes lost. Sun someone tossed a cig.out of their car on Missionary Ridge Road northeast of Hermosa. It's up to 9500 acres now. 5% contained, heading south against the wind toward Durango and north up the Florida toward the Needles. It dosn't take much to start one and they are not easy to get a handle on.
