Check this out...DPL photo I ran across a day or two ago, and your post prompted me to bring this up. Technically the fake stacks started before the 60's, as this March 1951 shot would attest. Of course its the bumblebee scheme but who is counting nits right.
I rather like this shot of 473 in freight service at Jukes tree. If you go to the DPL site there are more shots of this train headed to Cumbres. Would like to have videotaped this one...would have been some great sounds climbing the pass. There are also some great shots of 4 engine trains on Marshall Pass...what a show that must have been!!
