Hi, Cuddles..... actually I like show .... at least they aren't using a more-modern loco with piston valves. They actually should paint the loco up a bit more gaudy for the year 1869 ..... "Leviathon" would have looked good on the show, but I am sure a plywood replica was a lot cheaper!
That being said, there are a lot of historical errors, but you know Hollywood! I do like the repro (I assume) Colt Army revolvers and "yellow-belly" Winchesters they use.
As a telegrapher, I did appreciate the scene a couple of shows back showing the operator in the business car actually holding the key correctly and sending real Morse ..... (too many movies show the operator tapping the key knob with his index finger .... very incorrect) ... only problem was he left the shorting bar closed, which would render the key inoperative. Oh, well.
