I know they inquired about leasing Leviathan from Dave Kloke, but when they described what they wanted to do to Dave they parted ways. For starters they couldn't understand that in 1865 a 4-4-0 was a High Tech machine and was treated with tender loving care by her crew. Almost any photo of the era will show how good looking they kept the engines. Dave would not allow Leviathan to be dirtied up after he spent 10+ years building her. If they wanted to use her, it was going to be completely under Dave's control, etc. So ended my fleeting chance at television stardom. I guess I'll have to settle for being on the cover of this moneth's issue of Live Steam...
