Re: The "Plugs and Sam Imbleau"

A great influence at GCRY was Sam Imbleau our Roadmaster of many years. Sam's influence reached more than just track, he was an insparation to many people with GCRY. Unfortunately we lost him in February 2001. His influence is still on the railroad.
The ability to have highly gualified midlevel managment is an important step to any tourist railroad's sucess. The influences of this managment level has great bearing on a railroads sucess. I was greatly impressed with my first two meetings with Mr Butler. It appears to me that the C&TS has a good solid professional railroader. My experiences with Mr. Knoob other managment at the C&TS has been equaly positve.
As for Mr Imbleau I have the honor of not only calling him a coworker but a friend. I got to run the train to the Canyon when we stopped to rededicate Apex to Imbleau. May other tourist railroads be so lucky to have a Sam Imbleau and benifit from them.
