Employees don't make it any easier for management . Some are like thieves ,taking advantage of every weakness they sense in management ,sucking all the good will that might be in a man or woman who is in management . Managers who are easy-going are often treated like doormats by employees . And ,as you point out, middle management is pressured by the higher-ups and "hosed" by the top brass regularly .
