Eric; I seem to remember a story that Kromer was a railroader who couldn't find caps he liked
so his wife started making them for him. Others saw them and liked them with the result that it grew into a cottage industry employing several of the town women.
Know anything about that?
I always wore the white ones. That got me in trouble on one of the Rocky Club trips when I forgot to take it off. I'm sure it stuck out like a boil on the nose on those run-bys.
