Hi all:
I thought just for fun I would start a new line of thought about the Cats drive to attract 100,000 riders per year. It seems to me there are some operational problems as well as marketing problems to be overcome. I will start with a simple list of the items I see impeding this goal.
1. Do we have the passenger car capacity to haul that many people on the average. Considering the ups and downs of bookings through the months from May till October and the probable variations from Sunday through Saturday. Just how many cars would it take?
2. Can the Osier facility handle that many?
3. Do we need a second train on some days and how would that be accomplished?
I haven't wrapped this around the space between my ears but it seems to me that this takes a real leap to get from 60,000 to 100,000 without some rather drastic changes.
