The book you are thinking of is likely the RGS Story Vol. 7 which is what the question was about. The photo is applied in error in this Volume 7 (NOT by the fault of the Sundance's staff) and is very likely on the Rio Grande & Southwestern RR below El Vado. Besides the un-rebuilt box car, the headlight predates the 1930s and the RG&SW did use canteens (extra water tender). This was the earlier operation of the New Mexico Lumber Co. that they worked before moving to Dolores (not Delores) and McPhee. If new data is received, correcton will be published in Volume X, hopefully in 2003.
