All that work, and it looks like EVERYBODY got better photos than I did!
But it was worth the effort, and no one could ask for a finer bunch of people
to spend a day with!! Thank you
ALL for your support and friendship!!!
Nonetheless, imitation being the sincerest form of flattery, I will allow one of you more-experienced tour
guides to flatter me by setting up "Springtime in the Rockies II".
Besides, one of you may have more influence with the C&TS General Manager, so that next time we can:
1) Leave later in the afternoon, as originally agreed to by Alan.
2) Back into the connector track at Lava Loop for the meet with the eastbound,
with a run-by on the connector before or after - depending on time available.
3) Arrive at m.p. 317.5 at the right time to catch the rising of the moon.
4) Have an evening photo session at Osier, as originally agreed to by Alan.
I would definitely want to come along, and will be glad to help spread the word and even draw up a flyer - but I don't want to be the instigator next time.

p.s. I know where two gallons of dark (olive?) green paint are stashed
...
Or would you prefer to re-enact one of the volunteer-operated freights of September, 1970??
