Well this is how the Sumpter Valley in Oregon did it.
The rear 3/4 shot of a 4 engine plow train had the following consist if I recall from previous discussions with my friends: lead engine is SVRy #4 a mogul, next is the WHEccles Lbr. #3 Heisler (operational at SVRy today), OLC #104 Heisler, and Baker White Pine #3 a Climax. I think the story of this odd mix of engines was that a major snow storm had closed the line trapping a pass. train and a frt. nose to nose on the Sumpter Valley side of Larch Summit. The wedge plow was at Austin on the other side of 2 mtn. summits, Larch and Tipton and evidently #4 was the only SVRy mainline engine on that end at the time. Seems like the event was 1920 or very early 21. Logger Hogger has a front 3/4 shot of this train and #4 still has a wood cab which dates the event to before sometime in Jan. 1921 when #4 lost it's wood cab in a roundhouse fire, it being replaced with steel.
